Erin always has such a wonderful time at Ren Fair...especially when she is with her best friend and cousin 'Micky' and her Daddy Rick.... I think Mom is taking the picture.
Daddy Rick always makes the girls fun costumes to wear... complete with leather armor and wooden swords. Both girls really get into the mood. Daddy sells his beautiful hand made armor and weaponry at the Ren Fairs.... he is a True Creager...always working on Art ... a chip off the old block...LOL!

It has been ages since my last post... not really sure where the time goes...but one thing is for sure...it went!! Lots has been happening since my last post , really way to much to post in one setting...so I will do it in dribs and drabs....starting with our New Passion!!!
Heading for the London Bridge
Richard and I recently purchased two Touring Kayaks ..his is 17 feet and mine is 14 feet. Both have rudders and are sea worthy (if we had a mind to go into the sea) but for now we are totally content just paddling around our home town of Lake Havasu , Arizona . It's a beautiful lake with over 500 miles of shore line.
Early Early Morning Trip
We paddle 2-3 times a week...getting down to the lake and putting in at 6:00am (beat the heat kinda thing) ..and then out by 10:00am. We have lived in Havasu for 7 years and sad to say that up until recently we have been on the lake approx. 3 times....now we are one the lake that much in one week....and LOVING IT!!!! There is something very peaceful and tranquil about the water ...to sit so close to it and feel each ripple , to have a BIG bass jump right next to your kayak , or ducks gather around you as you paddle by ...there are so many fish and bird habitats on Lake Havasu they are wonderful to carefully visit... and Havasu is on a migration flyway...and we get the chance to see so many birds we normally would not. I think I love it most of all because I can image being hundreds of miles away from EVERYTHING!!! No phone, no TV News, no nothing... just Richard and I quietly making our way through the blue waters...and after a few hours of bliss.... it takes us a couple more to get the smiles off of our faces...AHHHHHH!!!
I can tell you this.... that after a morning of paddling...our energy level is through the roof and our focus of our dolls is unbelievable. We figure it is a win win all the way around... good exercise (for both mind and body) ...I call it my 'Zen Zone'..
We are in the process of getting our little English Austin American car suited up with Kayak Racks ...so we can easily get them loaded and travel further (Lake Powell comes to mind)...a week of camping in the tipi and kayaking...OH JOY!!! Will post picks of the Austin with the Kayaks soon...it's really a hoot...both are longer than the car....
Well that's it for now.... back to work for me.... it's Kayaking in the morning....
See You Soon

For the Benefit of Mr. Kite...there will be a show tonight...you know the rest!!! I just wanted to introduce our newest addition to the Creager Gallery of Dolls...
'Stella and Ella'...The Amazing Daredevil Twins . It struck me a couple of weeks ago when I was in the market...on how many parents say to their kids..."Don't do that, you will break your leg" or "Don't climb up there you will fall and break your neck" or "Careful now... you will seriousily injure yourself if you do that"...so I thought...all really good advice...but makes a body fearful...so what if I made a little set of devilish twin 'BABIES' who have no fear ...and are really good at what they do...but continually strike fear in the hearts of all parents (twice nightly) !!! So Stella and Ella were born........
Stella and Ella are performing right now on EBAY
Hope you enjoy the show.......

I am posting my very first ever attempt at Native American Beading. This is something I have always wanted to do since childhood... I LOVE and admire Bead work so much. So I sat down and followed some designs and made changes here and there...
I had a BLAST creating this Strike a Light Pouch... and I am really looking forward to creating more items for our Tipi.
The Pouch is made from Braintanned Elk , Tin Cone Fringe, and countless seed beads. I basically free handed this one but next one will be more detailed and 'drawn out'
I love it when a desire is met, and it brings the satisfaction hoped for.

WOW...been ages since I have posted anything... you never realize it until you look at the last date you posted...ZOWIE!!! We have been super busy around the Creager Studios... Our weather has wonderfully delicious so trying to be outside a bit more ...biking around the island, working in the yard and of course working on our Tipi...
We have started to paint in interior linings...(see picture) 1 down 2 to go....it is very time consuming, but a real labor of love... anything with the tipi is. Eventually we will paint the outside of the tipi but we are working still on the design we want...
I just had my 57th Birthday on March 10th ...(my how time flies when you are having a Ball)!!! Anyway, my dearest friend and husband Richard gifted me with something I have ALWAYS wanted.... a REAL Buffalo Hide ... I almost fainted!!! It is absolutely magnificent... 8 1/2 feet by 6 1/2 feet and is regally placed inside the tipi at the back of the lodge... it is PERFECT!!!! (see pics) ...I swear to you all... there is magic there.. a New spiritual awakening that I can't explain...and everyone who enters the tipi and sits on 'TaTanka' feels it....The story of the hide... it hug for over 50 years in a Native American Cultural Teaching Center ...it was tanned in the native way by Native Americans... it has the original stake down marks and is a 'full' hide...meaning not 'cleaned up' with excess hair cut off to make it 'pretty' ...but rather the full hide...with leg hair, and full belly fur...tail also.... this is very exciting to me... rare to find. I love that it is older too... and I think of all those viewed the hide over the years and all the school children that 'touched' him and learned from him...
So on my Birthday I spent the night in the tipi on the Buffalo and slept the most peaceful sleep I have ever experienced. I normally dream hard and active...waking up very tired... this night I did not dream...or if I did...it was gentle and non evasive ...I awoke to calm and relaxation... and the smell of coffee and campfire in our tipi... Richard is the sweetest Man Alive.....and knows how to make me happy...
It was a PERFECT Birthday..........
We are busy with our Artwork as well.... keeping busy with several commissions and getting ready to start on more EBAY Art.
This July we travel to Las Vegas for our Annual NIADA (National Institute of American Doll Artists) Convention.... been 7 years since we attended one... so we must create at least 3 dolls for that.... YIKES!!! Time grows near...
So much more to write about but I have to get back to work now... so will come back and add more soon...lots of tales to tell.
