Mices,Meeces,Mousers....

Well just a quick sneak preview of what we have been working on for EBAY ...keeping fingers crossed for a Friday Listing. Not really going to say much more other than 'They are in love' ...lol! This little couple stands a mere 6 inches tall. I LOVE doing animals .... this is only our second and third mouse character, the first being the 'Dormouse' from Alice in Wonderland. I did something I never do on a doll...applied Eyelashes to the little Lady Mousie, I have not applied eyelashes since 1970 when I went out dancing and lost one of them somewhere on the dance floor, only to find in horror that it was stuck to my dates shirt sleeve ??? I swear...those things use to just 'fly off' at will.... and ALWAYS at the most inopportune times... so needless to say I was having weird 'flashbacks' when applying these 'little' suckers... my word of advice to 'Miss Mouse'...NO DANCING!!!

OK...off to finish dressed this happy little couple...

Thanks everyone for your Super Nice comments on the D.D. Award .... and Thanks for being my B.B.B. (Bestest Blog Buddies)..

Have a Wickedly Wonderful Wednesday...

Jodi

Hi Mags...

Nice to see another that likes Meeces as much as I... they are fun to sculpt in that they can at times so resemble a human...and I LOVED the movie 'Ratatouie' (sp)

Jodi

What sweet little faces! I just love seeing animals as dolls. I have often been tempted to have a 1:12 animal family for my dollhouses.

You're doing great with them. can't wait to see them finished! :-)

OMG, they are adorable!! I can't wait to see them finished!!

I loved your story about the eyelashes, it reminds me of a story my mom told me when she was younger. Her and her friend wanted to know what would get more attention blondes or big boobs. My mom's friend wore a long blond wig and my mom of course overstuffed her bra with klenex to look huge. Well when they were at a bar the friend was getting a lot of attention until my mom went off toward the bathroom when she noticed that everyone was staring and pointing at her, she was feeling pretty good until she noticed that she walked infront of a dart game and she had a dart hanging on her boob!!

Hi Kat...

Thanks so much...WOW...I think it would be sooo cool for you to create a 1:12th scale miniature mouse family...but it would be even more cool to create the house as mice would....thimbles for chairs, spool of thread for the table....match box chest of drawers... etc etc...what fun!!

Hugs,
Jodi

Hi Marie...

They are certainly fun to create...I always balance my art that way...serious and focused one minute to lighthearted and fun the next... too much of any one thing makes me board out of my gourd!!

Realy cute and perfetc!
Will look forward to seeing more.
The eyelashes made me laugh.
I have a really funny one about hair extensions but i'd be typing forever and a day if i did.
Basically i looked like a witch... lol. My friend Yolande and i still laugh about the evening after the day of them going in, sitting and taking them out. I was crying and she was pouring vodka down my throat. It was like removing thousands of nits and had to have my hair cut short the next day.
I only have to say hair and she laughs.
Loving your micee!!!
