Gringott's Goblin Start

Morning... well this is the starting of our Gringott's Goblin and his desk setting....so much more to go of course but I thought I would try to show this one in steps too...now all I have to do is remember to stop and pop a pic!!....

He is 1:12th scale so he is extra teeny tiny as he is a Goblin! If standing would come to Harry's
mid upper arm (when Harry was lots younger) This little fellow will have spectacles perched on his nose and some sort of weird hair do....little knickers with a waist coat, vest, watch fob , colonial shoes with brass buckles . The desks shown in the movie where the Goblins sit to me hide to much of their little cute bodies...so Richard designed a desk to show him sitting at his stool yet big enough to hold all of his 'desk goodies' ...we figure he might be one of the Goblins working behind the scenes in the back office of Gringotts !!

The stool is unfinished as you can see...needs to be weathered and stained ...Richard made this from scratch, he shaped the legs from hardwood and well rounded the seat.

This is going to be a fun project... plus I have the Harry Potter Movies on alllll day long in my studio , which I love!!

Hugs to all

Jodi

Just to help me understand 1:12th, about how big is his head, the size of a dime??
I am so in awe of him, he is so small and so detailed.
WAY TO GO!!!
And the stool, unbelievable!!!
What an awesome team you two make!!

Hi Marie...

Well let's see...1:12th scale is one foot to one inch ...as he is a goblin he is a bit more tiny... bigger than a dime smaller than a quarter...I measured him out of curiosity and from his chin to the top of his head he is less than 3/4 of an inch ...no wonder I am blind at times...LOL

Thanks for the kind and caring words...

Hugs,
Jodi

Hello Litter Mate!!!!

I adore the newbie on the block errrrr I mean stool. I had some catching up to do over here, sista.
Firstly let me tell you how much I love the mantle holding all your well deserved trophies. You are so clever it makes me green. Good thing I look good in green. hehe PRESCOTT!!! My ex and I went there 4-5 times looking at property so I totally love the area. I agree girlfriend, it will probably be a better place to be for the artist life you have. And you cannot beat the weather there. Oh my.... I'd load up my kayak & head out there to tour the lakes with you. Superman & I are planning a trip out there next year. I'm moving from my beloved tree house, too. Sad to leave but change is in the air....

You know you and I would never shut up if we were in the same room. We have so much similar history and both of us are corny beyond succotash.... I adore you, LM!
OK before peeps start telling us to get a room to catch up I'll buzz off.... LOL

Hugzzzzzz, I'll be back soon!

Hi Lille L.M.

WOW...you know, that shot really does rather look like a 'chopping block'...hmmmm gives me an idea for a doll!!! Glad you like the mantle...had to try and think of a place to store all the treasures given by friends... I am almost at the top, wait till you see where the others will go....
COOL you like Prescott too....sure a magical place...I wish we had bought property there 8 years ago...who knew! And yes...if we move there PLEASE come and visit..great lakes and places to chatter away...which we will enjoy doing. Where do you think you will be moving? Change can be very exciting...
