Thrilled to Pieces...

Yes I know I know...I have been absent from my favorite place for a very long time now...well at least since the 6th...and for somebody that likes to talk as much as I do...that is an Eternity!!! Been finishing up a few commission pieces one very big one and that is just teetering on being finished...soooo close I can see the end in sight.... and one other Project that was just finished and uploaded last evening.... A Podcast Interview with the Wonderful and always delightful Rice Freeman Zachery of 'Voodoo Cafe'
What a fun time we had and boy does she know how to get 'stuff' out of me.... she's GOOD!!
So if ya have a hankering to hear yours truly spill her guts to the world about Art, Dolls, Marriage etc... you can pop over to the right hand column of this page right at the top and 'click' the button...

Hugs,
Jodi (a.k.a. Chatty Cathy)

well that was very entertaining ...I put it on and listened while I was working. It wouldn't work from here but I hopped over to The Voodoo Cafe and listened from there. I agree she is a splendid interviewer.

Can't wait to see the new piece....sounds like you have some very exciting times ahead of you too...I wish you all the very best of luck and am sure that you can do it.

I was really interested in the copyright part. I always wondered that when people like you did tutorial DVD's then surely the people that bought them would be churning out dolls just like yours. Then I picked up the clay and realised it is NOT that simple lol.

p.s. I am just learning the slow cooker routine too....love it !

Hi Jayne....

So glad you are liking the podcast (weird name huh!) But crap -O-doodle...the link does not work on my blog?? Is anyone else having that problem? The copyright law was an interesting question...and now that the Interview is over I can think of about 30 other things to add to the question...isn't that ALWAYS the way!!
Slow Cookers Rule!!!

Jodi

Hi Jodi. I stayed up late tonight, well now morning to get some of my work finally moving, and saved your interview for when i was finished and cleaning up after quite a lot of mess.
I'm so glad i did because listening to your thoughts and opinions settled quite a lot of worries and stresses in my mind. It was wonderful to hear some of your opinions , that i thought could only possibly belong to me. Kind of sorted me out and set me straight. In particular where you speak about loving what you do. I always worry i should be doing something else, something more that people want, but now i realise i should keep doing what i love and what makes me smile.
Thank you for sharing this with everyone and for the big nudge it has given me. I needed this so much!

Hello Nikki...

How lovely to hear from you...been ages, but I think of you often.

Thrilled to know that you enjoyed the interview and that some of my words we helpful and comforting...
Ya know these is a wonderful thing to hear when you have doing what we have for over 30 years...the doubts of much left to offer tend to creep into my soul from time to time...so when we hear that our words and thoughts still offer sound advice...well, that's just the Plum in my pudding ..I thank you for that!
Anytime you wanna chat...just send me an email...I am always here...

Hugs,
Jodi

Hi Jodi. The link didn't work for me because i needed to install a plugin. Your blog page provided the link to do so because it registered i didn't have what was required.
If people just follow the instructions to download and save it to a file, then once downloaded open the file and hit run it should work.
I had to come out of mozilla and then reopen for it to work.
I'm not great on computers and didn't have a clue what file to download and save to so just saved it in pictures. I then right clicked and clicked run as, and then run.
Hope this helps anyone that has a problem.
