If this is Wednesday...it must be Mountain Troll Day!!

Well lookie here what my darling Richard created... a Miniature Mountain Troll Foot Umbrella Stand straight out of Number Twelve, Grimmauld Place. We were going to work on this together... but he got on such a roll with this and enjoyed sculpting it so much that I never got a chance to dip my hands into the clay...lol!! I did paint it. I am crazy in love with this piece (wish I had a full sized one in my home) but alas, we don't have much rain here in the desert!

Anyway...this miniature foot is hand sculpted in polymer clay (including the toe nails) the ring at the top is brass. The cane is wood and carved tagua nut. The umbrella is complete with brass framework/ribs ...covered in fine cotton.

I think we will be listing this on EBAY sometime today ...been ages since we have listed anything on EBAY...

Thanks for taking a peek and Richard's little Mountain Troll Foot (sounds weird...I know!)

Later,

Jodi

Thank You so much Debbie...I will pass your comments along to Richard...it will make his day.

Yes...seeing those nails wanted to make me file them a bit...but I am sure Mt. Trolls have little time for that in the woods...now THERE is a funny visual!!

Thanks Again

Happy Wednesday

The brittle nails do it for me and all the little folds.
Oh i wish i could make my minis look so real.
Mind you i suppose for just 2 years making mini's i'm not doing too bad.
I'd love to be able to achieve what you both have.
I'm still in love with Hagrid and i think he's my favourite from all your work that i've seen.
Mind you, i did see some of your work in one of the magazines last year and loved the two witches with their books tied together. I think i loved them equal to Hagrid.
Thanks for your comments on my blog today and let your husband Richard know i love the brittle nails.

Hi Nikki...

Thanks so much for stopping by. You are doing wonderful with your minis...I would have sworn you were making them for years. Actually we have only been at the minis for a very short time ourselves...but then tack on the 30+ years of regular doll making..
I really like making minis..it is a challange (especially for those of us with 'older eyes')...LOL

Again, thanks for popping in

Happy Wednesday
