Our Latest Harry Potter Piece

We recently finished another Harry Potter commission...

(OUR FAVORITES TO DO)...

This handsome gentleman is Kingsley Shacklebolt...a distinguished Wizard working for the Ministry of Magic. He is 1:12th Miniature Scale ...standing at just 6".

Believe me, I would LOVE to say that this is MY Studio in his background...but alas it is just photo trickery!! AHHHHH...to have Hogwarts as a Studio... how fantastic would that be....

Thanks for taking a peek

Oh Jodi he's magnificent. Can he use the Floo network and appear down my chimney in Diagon Alley. LOL..
What other characters are you making?
Lupin? Tonks? The Weasley Family? Professor Dumbledore or even he who must not be named!

Oh wow another Harry Potter character! So cool and I love the background! I have been to your website and seen your Mad Eye, he is awesome! I did not see the Arthur Weasley though, I just love the Weasley family! I can't wait to see your Belatrix! Have you made a Lucius Malfoy? I just love his cane with the wand inside. I just got done making a monster book (box)that I will be posting in a few days. It is for my sister that is coming to visit this weekend, so I can't post it until after she sees it. Don't want to ruin the surprise!

Great job, can't wait to see more!!

He's wonderful! I love how you've dressed him. I really need to go look through the gallery on your website. I will have to cover the keyboard with plastic though to protect it from teh drool. ;-)

Oh yes Jodi, I did see your Mad Eye Moody and drawled.. I'm glad your doing Dumbledore in the style of Richard Harris he was my favourite. I can see him eating one of Harry's Bertie Botts Every Flavour Beans and saying "Alas, Earwax"!.
You should make some of the creatures as well Jodi, like the centaurs. Can't wait to see all the new ones. Pity I don't have a Port Key, I'd pop over...

Love him and just out of this world.
So, so clever!
Wish i could do the photo trickery thing.
I do have a whiz kid son who could do it, but if we even talk to each other about computers we argue, so i'll just have to fathom something out myself to save the rows.
I showed my husband some of your work and he actually looked for longer than his usual second. If you get more than a second it means he thinks its great.
10 seconds means its wonderful and 20 seconds means he thinks its all anything could be at its finest. You got more than a minute so thats a good sign... lol.

Morning Jamie...

Thanks so much... I don't have Arthur on our website yet, and a few others...need to build a new 2009 page and add them...I am thinking of actually doing a Harry Potter Gallery...of just goodies from the movie..would be fun.
I too adore the Weasley's (all of them)...it's a 'Red Hair' thing!!!
We will be building an actual "Weasleys Wizard Wheezes" Store Front (not the actual building but rather the store front with the cobble stone floor and the shop window filled with all the Goodies...FUN FUN FUN!!!

Will eventually try our hand at Lucius Malfoy.
Can't wait to see your Monster Book!!!! COOOOOL!!!

I love to dress these little beings... but it is such a different mindset from all those years of our bigger doll dressing... gulp!! And these older eyes tend to go cross when I tire!

Good Morning Debbie...

Yes...Richard and I will always have a soft spot in our hearts for Richard Harris...the new guy is good too...but we so loved the gentleness of Dumbledore when played by RH. The hard part is trying to decide how to place Professor Dumbledore...we are thinking behind his lectern (with the big gilted carved owl, or by the pensive. If you happen onto a Port Key...please do pop over...would love to meet you.

Jodi, your work is beyond exquisite! I love seeing your creations on CDHM and I've visited your website often. Incidentally, my name is Jody also because when my Dad, Joe Brown, was a young boy, he was nicknamed 'Jody'. My parents had seven miscarriages and then a baby who died of spina bifida at nine months in 1953. They gave up and adopted so I was named after my Dad. Kingsley is perfect.

Good Morning Jody...
How lovely to see you here. Thanks so much for your kind words.
Nice to meet another Jody/Jodi ...Great that you got your name from your dad too. It was not a common name for a girl in the early 50's ...I can't tell you how many times I got put into the Boys P.E. Class or Shop...because my name was Jodi...and they never 'looked' befor they placed...lol!

Great meeting you ...

Happy Sunday
