And Now for Something Completely Different...

Well for me at least.... I normally stick to my own playing field of Clay and Dolls...but once in a while it is fun to dip ones toes in a new watering hole ...basically I like to play with new stuff...it always seems to clear the cob webs out of the brain. I do love to bead when I can find a few minutes to pry myself away from clay. I am NOT by a long shot any good at it there are Beaders out there that are soooo good they would make a grown man cry! But like with anything else...I just play with it...dabble if you will.... and then return 'home' to the familiar. This is one of my latest 'dabbleings'
A wrist cuff that I beaded with anything that held still long enough...if you look real close you might see the Kitchen Sink!! I like the fact that it turned out very dimensional, layers on layers...no set design...a free for all of beads!!
Thanks for taking a Peek...and for not laughing (at least not out loud)...
Terrific Tuesday All

Fat Tuesday!!...OH BOY does this mean I can EAT and not feel Guilty???

Happy 'FAT TUESDAY' ...I just love that title... just seems to absolve all my eating guilt...at least for one day!! Mardi Gras ...ahhhhh a wonderful fun celebration (wish I was there right now...and could stay through the whole celebration) GREAT Food, Great Libations, Fun People...and enough Color and visuals to last a lifetime. I LOVE New Orleans.
Any who... I just thought in honor of Mardi Gras and Fat Tuesday (Love that name) ...it might be fun to post a couple of pics of necklaces that I made for Richard and myself when we were invited to a big Mardi Gras Party one year... I had so much fun making these....Richard sculpted the Chicken Foot...you would swear it was real, in loving memory of our Pet Chicken 'Hen-Retta'...both necklaces contain 'goodies' I have collected or made over the years ...strong medicine for me I figured... everything has a meaning and memory for Richard and or Me. Anyway, they hang on my studio wall all year...but I wear them this time of the year for a few days...freaks people out at the super market...
All of a sudden I have this MAD DESIRE for a beniet and a cafe au lait...
Happy Fat Tuesday (still lovin that name)
Later,
Jodi
