OK...So this is Probably a REALLY Stupid Question...
As I sit here under my FAVORITE Hat (and for those that know me...know I LOVE my Hats!) ... I was thinking and wondering to myself .. How does one go about making a 'second' blog?? I pondered and pondered on this subject till smoke rose out of the top of the cone ... then thought...Jodi, stop being such a ninny and ask your friends in BLOGLAND... they can't laugh at you forever...eventually they will have to return to housework and art, their children and husbands....the laughter will eventually die out!
My question about the whole thing (and the part that hurts my gray matter the most when pondering this subject) is how can I have two blogs with the same gmail address? Will One cancel out the other (stop laughing, it's hard to stop) For some reason it is very hard for me to wrap my brain around this whole concept... Normally I am a jump in with both feet kinda gal...but I also am a 'button pusher' without checking first...which means I run the serious risk of losing what I have now...GULP! Or is this just Outer Limits thinking?
The purpose for all of these Dufus Inspired Questions is that I want to start an alter ego blog...my other side as it were...nothing like taking a casual stroll on a tight wire... minus the net !!
So if someone...anyone out there that hears my sniveling sobs for help.... could offer suggestions that my ' smokin grayness' would understand...I would be forever grateful ...and I could take off my 'hat' before my head forms this shape...
Thanks a Mil ...or a Tril in this days economy!

Jodi, its easy go to the customise button on your blog (top right hand Corner). Click on that. That takes you over to the main blog page.Once your on there you will see in the right hand corner next to your email the word Dashboard. Click on Dashboard. When your Dashboard screen comes up you will see under the language, Create a Blog, click on that and your away...
Hope that helps...
OK Debbie....I followed all the steps you offered and I now see where and what I have to do to create another blog...one question before I 'push' that button...will I still be using the same gmail address...or when I choose a new Blog Title it gives me a new gmail/blog address? I don't know why I am in such a dither about this..feaful of losing it all with one push...it is the same thing I went through when I first got a computer...I just KNEW I would blow something up with the first button Push!!
Thanks for your help
Jodi (aka Darla Dunce)
Jodi, I'm still new to this too. I don't think it will mess anything up to add a blog. I have two blogs showing in my dashboard. The halloween group that I am in sent me a request to join their blog and when I accepted, it added the blog to my dashboard and now I can leave posts in both. If you look in my profile you can see it lists two blogs now. So yes, release that alter ego!!
Jamie
Jodi yes you still use the same email address and password. You will then be able to manage them both from the dashboard..
So glad you asked that question, I have wondered that too! I need a new blog like a hole in the head but I thought it would be nice to have a more personal family blog. Hey, Jodi, thanks for visiting my blog. I was so thrilled. I have watched your you tube sculpting videos a gadzillion times and learned so much from you!!! Someday, I am going to scrape up enough to buy the DVD's. I think you are an amazing artist when it comes to faces. Thanks so much for sharing. You made my whole week! maybe my month...year????
Hi Jodi :) Happy Wednesday!
All will be ok as far as your email address. It all goes to the same (google) account, the dashboard is where you manage them all. Ex: I have three blogs showing on mine but only two visible. One is private, I made it accidentally so I kept it for other stuff. We all learn somehow!
If you'd like to make a blog private (not this one please!)or keep it private temporarily until your ready to launch something spectacular you can change your settings in the new blog located under "customize" then under the "settings tab" the last one is "permissions".
To delete a blog you'd need to go into that particular blog and click delete blog. So even if your clickin finger is feeling happy it gives you a chance to confirm it before hand so no worries! :)
Will this be another blog you will be sharing with us? :)
Have a super day and have fun!
Hugs,
Sprite
Sounds like you got the advise you needed...it really is pretty easy to manage more than one. I'll have to check back to check out your new one.
I hope you have a very Happy Easter!
Nancy
Come on Jodi. Even I figured that out. Same email no matter what. I have 3 blogs. List them on your front page of each and people can go back and forth between them. The only thing that gives me a problem is when I am speechless. or blogless.
Really, i'm not laughing in the slighest.... lol.
But, seriously i too pondered over this subject for quite some time before i hit the button. Once i hit the button i went into panic thinking everything would go wrong, or i would forget the blog address.
Only to discover it all goes into one dashboard and life would be easy.
Then thought, oh its so easy i'll make another blog and now i have 3 to manage and maintain without enough time in any 24 hours.
Have you made the new blog yet. I'll go and check.
Make sure you leave enough time for your beautiful dolls which i always look forward to.
Must now go and recsue my kitchen from 2 horrors that are making a fruit flan. They seem to have used every single pot and pan.

Jodi
Hi Nikki...Fruit Flan...YUMMMMMMMM!! Sounds heavenly.
Thanks for your suggestions and for letting me know I am not the only one to sweat this out...
I think with everyone's help and suggestions...I can not officially take the 'hat' off... I was getting a bit of a headache...and I was NOT looking forward to wearing it all night while I slept...worse than curlers!@!!
Jodi
Hi Jodi, Oh I see you got allready enough answers and it seems you know now how to do it now. You can also create links on your "main" blog to your second blog, third blog etc. and it works at last like a website with severall spaces (blogs) that´s how I created my blog, it´s much easier than running a website,LOL The Dashboard is the most important tool to manage all of your blogs ! And every blog has it´s own layout site you choose, you can create all under one email adress and use different backgrounds for each blog !
Happy creating !!!fairy best wishes, Silke
Hi Silke...
Yes... I have had many come to the rescue with my dilemma.. thank you too for being one of them...it is greatly appreciated. I just have to keep remembering that the 'Dashboard' is my friend .
Thanks Again
Jodi
Hi Jodi, I was wondering what your new blog was going to be about?
AND remember to have fun & Good Luck too... :)
Have a Beautiful Easter!
Hugs & Blessings,
Lyndy
Hi Lyndy..
Well... I am not really sure what kind of tag to put on my New Blog...I am thinking long and hard on it...all I know for sure is it will be stuff that I won't post anywhere else... I will have fun putting my 'altered' art work there and from time to time writing poems / stories etc...
I am still thinking about it as I said... all I know for sure is ...it is something I really need to do...
Jodi
