Commission Time....

Hey Gang.... Richard and I have been busy with about a gabillion things around the house and yard....that I finally decided it was time to come in and work on a recent commission. As many of you have probably figured out by now...I am COO COO for HARRY POTTER!!!! ...and my goal has been to create any and all characters and objects from this most Inspirational Group of Books and Movies. We have a very good collector who has the majority of our Potter Pieces ...and she now wishes 'Madam Trelawney'...Professor of Divination. Also there will be one of her tables in the setting (complete with lots of goodies), an overstuffed brightly colored ottoman and our very first 'Hogwarts Student' ...I am thinking 'Neville Longbottom'....not sure on that one yet...
So my tootsies are curling in delight at the thought of creating this piece. I have seen several Miniature Trelawney's out there...wonderful all... and that is the joy of creation... for each artist to put their own artistic touch to a character...variations on a theme I always say...
So I am off and running to a day filled with H.P. Movies , Magic and Happiness.... OH GOODIE GOODIE...lost in work once again...I really need this ....
Hope everyone has an extremely Magical Day ...
Hugs,
Jodi

Now that is one sculpt I can't wait to see. When you think that is Emma Thompson, under all that make up and thick glasses. I love her in her role as Sybil Trelawney, and also her other role as Nanny McPhee.
Glad to hear your getting back to creating..Hugs xxxx

Dobby is perfect!!! I can't wait to see Prof. Trelawney.

I am also a huge potter fan. I have all the books on tape or CD. I love to listen to them while I am working.

Hi Kate...

This is a long time collector of our work...and it was only after 3 years that I discovered she LOVED Harry Potter...how exciting it was to find that out . She does not blog or have a web site... If we get off our Butts and start work...she has asked us to create a big display setting for all of her pieces...will be a long time in the making but fun fun fun...
She keeps inviting us to come and stay with her and see all the dolls in person...need to do that as well.
If I get pictures of the group...I promise to share..

Hugs,
Jodi

Hi William....so nice to see you.

We are excited about this piece...as for the 'Spectacles'...Richard and I flipped a coin...as I had my method worked out and he had his...both I think would have worked...but he won the toss....(shhhhhh don't tell him but his is the better method)

My mom was totally against Harry Potter, but little by little she's seen some of the movies, last night she wanted me to explain some of the confusing plot line. To my surprise, she had praise for the author and said she will watch the next movie for more answers to her questions.
I know you will do a beautiful job on this newest character, of course you will, there is absolutely no doubt she will be created with much attention to detail that you are known for.
